Early days, but the data you see on there is coming from our own infrastructure: "The Indexer". It fetches and decodes any transaction on Eth, Polygon, and Binance Smart Chain.

We have removed dependencies from other providers. Temporarily, it will be a bit slow, because we fetch ALL tokens on our supported chains. With our next updates in mind, it will become blazingly fast and enable us to build beautiful real-time graphs (with indicators when you bought/ sold a token), a social graph (aka Buzz v.2) and more!

Super nerdy, but this is an important step to ensure that Flooz runs buttery smooth.

The 🛡 changes are technical and not visible in your user interface, but you'll notice that we disabled taking screenshots of the seed-phrase or that we've introduce a splash screen that is visible once the app is in standby mode (preventing anyone peeking into your wallet)

🖼 Re-designed NFT Detail Page

We completely revamped the NFT detail page to align it with our current visual style and added NFT attributes and info, social media accounts, and the option to (💸  send) and (🔁 trade) the NFT.

⚡ Improved Loading Speed

We've improved the loading speed of the wallet significantly. It'll take a bit when opening up the wallet for the first time, but for any subsequent open, it's blazingly fast.

🐛 Squashed some bugs

We fixed a bug that was causing some smartphones to overheat and a a bug that was causing token filtering to not work properly.

gm @everyone - we back with another update for the Flooz Wallet 0.1.2 (Build 12).

With this update, we've also invited another 100 testers! This quick update improves some things you've flagged last week.

Update highlight: the NFT Tab received a delightful update ✨.  Your NFTs are now more prominently displayed.

We've also fixed the bug which was making the directionality of a payment (“Sent” vs “Received”) a bit unclear. Now you clearly see when a token has been sent or received. This does not work for NFTs yet, but we're on it, pls sit tight and stay 🧘🏼‍♂️

We have fixed another bug that was making it unclear why a transaction fails. Now, when you don't have enough funds to cover gas fees (transaction fees), we'll notify you proactively and redirect you to buy crypto with Apple/ Google Pay.

This is only a tiny update. In the coming days, we will be releasing a bigger update that will include a proper NFT detail page and Push Notifications.

The Flooz Wallet is the simplest way to buy, trade and manage any token on Ethereum, Polygon and/ or Binance Smart Chain (more ⛓ coming soon). It works for any fungible ERC 20 token or #NFTs. We are onboarding the next 100m users onto the blockchain.

Your journey with the Flooz Wallet starts by creating a wallet. Either create a new wallet (1 click) or import your Seedphrase from any other wallet. Each wallet can be enriched with a title, description, Discord / Twitter username. You can create as many wallets as you like. This is important for our social features (more on this soon).

Now that you have a Flooz wallet, converting cash to crypto is a breeze. Click on (+ Buy), enter the amount and hit buy with A-/ G-Pay or 💳 We've partnered with MoonPay, Ramp Networks, Transak and SendWyre and analyse all provider to ensure you get the most out of your buck!

Simply hit (🔄 swap), select the token pair, e.g. $ETH to $APE, enter the amount and hit swap. Entered the wrong amount? Selected the wrong token pair? Don't panic, we've all been there. That's why we have added an "undo" button. It works like the "undo" button on Gmail.

You can follow all your actions in the Activity view. We made sure to humanize your activities and made it human readable. Follow easily when you swapped, sent, received tokens, and more. Each item has a detailed view with more information about your action. Keepin it simple.

Dear community,

Amongst many factors, Covid19 and the War in Europe have pushed the economy into a downward spiral causing inflation (not peaked yet) and panic sells on the markets. These conditions have forced many businesses such as Coinbase and Robinhood to lay off staff and cut cost. Unfortunately, we are also affected by this. Thus, we have spent the last days planning the necessary changes we have to undergo to remain efficient as a team, but also profitable as an organisation.

The TL;DR: We are removing any distractions from our core business, cutting costs where necessary, automating a lot of processes internally, and most importantly doubling down on our core products: Flooz.Trade, the Flooz Wallet and Gen-F.

Laser-focus: Our entire focus is on the development of our core business. That said, we will pause any distracting initiatives, including the “Portals”. All of our resources are focused on building out the wallet, Flooz.Trade and pursuing the roadmap for Gen-F.

Efficiency and profitability: When it comes to business, we are old school. We like building profitable business that create enough value to cover our costs and fuel our growth. Our current revenue mainly comes from trading volume (swaps, on ramps), token partnerships, and Gen-F royalties. Thus, we are doubling down on driving revenues while running the business as efficient as possible. To do so, we are stopping hiring until further notice, increase efficiencies through process automation of recurring tasks, and develop the skill-sets of our team to become stronger and take on more responsibilities.

DAO: We have made tremendous progress received the official classification as a Utility Token by the FINMA (financial regulator in Switzerland), as well as the final rulings from a tax perspective. This paved the way for us to set up the legal entity in Switzerland. However, due to the current market situation, we decided to move the launch date of the DAO and thus the migration of SYA to Flooz. We cannot influence the current unstable and unpredictable macroeconomic situation, thus we are pushing the migration until the markets stabilise. We are not waiting for another bull run, we just need it to stabilise. We will keep you posted on this.

It’s annoying to say the least, but we believe that this market correction is a necessary one to re-calibrate the entire economy and bring back strong fundamentals: exceptional teams building exceptional products with a clear business model and value to its users. We are one of those teams and community that will come out of this bear market stronger than before.

Without you, this amazing community, we wouldn’t be where we are today. We have an obligation towards you to deliver exceptional products and value and we are committed to fulfilling our obligation. Together, we are unstoppable. Together, we will achieve greatness, no matter the market condition. Thank you for being with us and believing in this team ❤️

What happens next?

What started out as a joke and a meme lead us to building an amazing community of Web3 enthusiasts. We have shared blood, sweat and tears together. We’ve seen the highest highs and the lowest lows. We have made mistakes. We have learned from them. We have developed amazing software. We have built Flooz.Trade, a multi-chain social decentralized exchange. We have built Flooz.Link, a creator platform. We have built Gen-F, beautiful art and our debut into the metaverse. We have built SuperKey Apps for Discord, a powerful Web3 authentication tools and are on the verge of releasing SuperKey Apps for Shopify. We have done so much more, and all of it in 365 days!

Giving the success of Flooz.Trade, we have decided to focus our product development efforts on building out our exchange platform and the wallet. We are creating a place where you can discover and trade exciting new projects, both as ERC20 tokens but also ERC721 (NFTs). We are creating a place where you and your frens can GM and hangout. We are creating a true multi- and cross-chain offering that works on Ethereum, Polygon and Binance Smart Chain. We are creating an ecosystem that rewards you for your time and engagement. We are creating an ecosystem that is driven by you and one that turns you into an owner and shareholders of the ecosystem.

That’s why we decided to use the $SYA migration to think bigger and built out the Flooz DAO (decentralized autonomous organisation). The DAO will be powered by the $Flooz token. It will enable and incentivize Web3 developers and entrepreneurs to build their products and businesses on top our multi-chain infrastructure. Given that it’s $SYAs birthday today, we want to transparently share an update on where we stand with the DAO and the token migration. Over the last months, @FabianBlt  with the support of @nico.eth and our team of lawyers have spearheaded this project and today, we have some good news to share with you. The FINMA, official regulator of the financial markets (like the SEC in the US), just confirmed to us that the FLOOZ Token will be considered a utility token. We are incredibly happy about this classification and excited to take the next steps! Having a ruling with a classification into a utility token is powerful as it opens a wide array of new opportunities for the entire ecosystem.

That being said - we still have some steps ahead of us before we can launch the migration. We are currently working on finalizing some legal topics, ironing out the token and token migration contracts, as well as setting up the final logic for the token distribution. We will update you on our progress, so stay tuned

Following the Gen-F 3D leaks and all the info shared in our Townhall meeting on discord.gg/flooz on Friday, we are taking the next steps in our Metaverse strategy:

Which Metaverse?

As explained on Friday, we believe that there is no single Metaverse. The Metaverse is the blockchain as all assets/ NFT live on there. However, some companies and teams are building beautiful interfaces (Roblox, Decentraland) that interact with the assets on the blockchain and allow for gamified experiences.

Yuga Labs, makers of Bored Ape Yacht Club are set to release their Metaverse, the "Otherside", on 4/30, 12 pm ET.

The security of our community is dear to our hearts. Thus, we have teamed up with Passbase to verify the identities of our Token (ERC-20, NFT..) Partners.

Passing the KYC is a hard requirement to become a verified partner ✔️ on Flooz.Trade.

Secured by Passbase, the KYC check is rigorous, legally compliant, and privacy-oriented. To summarize, the KYC check includes:

— Document & Age Verification

— Biometric Authentication

— Anti-Money-Laundry Checks

All existing and new token partners will be asked to go through this KYC check. Partners who fail to comply/ pass the KYC check will be delisted as a verified token.

We aim to bring more trust & transparency to the blockchain.

However, this additional step in our token verification process does not protect traders from malicious actions (exploits, rugpulls, ..) — It will hold the people in charge accountable for their actions.

IN LIGHT OF TODAYS EVENTS, WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT SECURITY 🔒

Although we put measures in place to protect our Discord server and our community, we suffered an attack that left us temporarily compromised.

We were quick to respond, but still, NFTs amounting to 74 ETH got stolen from members.

We take full responsibility and accountability for the damage caused. We intend to compensate those harmed and increase our security against such attacks.

Let’s discuss what happened, how we responded, and what we’ve learned.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Between 11:35 PM and 12:30 AM EST on Saturday 5th of February 2022, a number of malicious users were able to gain admin access to our discord servers. They’ve comprised one of our mods (admin role) by social engineering.

The malicious account applied the same strategy as described here: https://jenkinsthevalet.medium.com/our-discord-was-hacked-heres-how-we-re-dealing-with-it-c3b8e7a3c21

After compromising the discord, they then sent links to members in our name and lured members into connecting their wallets to a suspicious page.

Unfortunately, 14 members authenticated their wallets and got scammed. NFTs were stolen and sold for a total of 74 ETH.

RESPONSE TIME (1/1)

The issue was detected within 8 mins of the breach. @jeancarlosxyz was able to identify and block the malicious accounts swiftly. It took roughly 60 minutes to clean up the entire server from any potential vulnerabilities.

ACTIONS

Following the analysis of logs and account movements, we swiftly removed newly installed hooks, integrations, and restored back appropriate access rights that were altered by the attackers.

Over the last days, the Discord community grew fast. We are lucky to have amazing mods helping us manage the community. However, we’ve realized that admin rights were distributed broadly and thus, effective immediate we’ve changed all roles, permissions, and removed everyone besides core admins from these permissions. We have cleaned up all channels to prevent any unknowing user from falling victim of the same attackers.

We have also disabled Discord members from sending links into chats and put other security-tight measures in place.

We have contracted a Discord Security expert who will undergo a thorough security investigation on our server and enable additional security practices.

Tonight we will be hosting a Twitter Space with our expert to discuss what happened and educate on security best practices. We invite all of you to join! Deetz will follow.

Needless to say, the compromised mod feels awful. We have made sure to spend time with said mod and provide emotional and psychological support. We’re all humans and this was an honest mistake. We stand 100% behind that person ❤️!

Flooz is a community that uplifts each other, protects each other and cares about each other. This incident is on us and we’re responsible for it. That’s why we are refunding all of the wallets determined to be legitimate victims of THIS scam.

We’ve bought back the stolen NFTs on Opensea.

Where we could, we bought the stolen NFTs back.

Where we couldn’t, we made sure to buy NFTs with similar rarity.

These included CloneX, Azuki, Doodles, Gen—F, and more.

We’ve also swept the Gen—F floor to redistribute the stolen NFTs to all affected members. I will personally approach the victims and call each member to apologize and hand back the NFTs.

AN IMPORTANT LESSON

This incident is a lesson for all of us.

It’s a lesson to be more cautious.

It’s a lesson to never share our screens, passwords, seed phrase, backup codes & personal information.

It’s an important lesson.

Make no mistake, this incident is a small bump in the road.

The #GENFRENS community is strong.

And if anything, this incident makes us stronger than ever.

Nothing will affect the course of Gen—F.

This is our time. We are writing the rules. We are writing our own history.
